Elliot Residencies

A contemporary residence in the heart of Colombo's Borella district — clean volumes, considered materiality and a spatial sequence calibrated for modern urban family living in a tropical climate.

The Elliot family commissioned IMARK RENDER to design their family home on a tight urban plot in Colombo's established Borella neighbourhood. The challenge was to create spacious, well-ventilated interiors appropriate to the tropical climate while maintaining the privacy expected in a densely built residential street — achieved through carefully placed courtyards, louvred screens and a plan that separates the family's public and private zones across two storeys.
