Wave Surf Café

A temporary, light-footprint pavilion for an isolated stretch of coastline reachable only by sea — a thatched bar and lounge built to be assembled, used and dismantled without leaving a trace.

The site at Ussangoda is unpopulated and reachable only by boat — no road access, no neighbouring structures, open sea views in every direction. IMARK RENDER's concept treats the pavilion as fully temporary architecture: a lightweight thatched-roof structure with minimal ground intervention, oriented to the prevailing sea breeze and the west-facing sunset. A curved terrace steps down to the sand, and the bar counter and lounge are arranged so every seat keeps sight of the water. Surf, sound and salt were the brief's own words for the experience it needed to deliver.
